Behind every good man there is a woman like you.

Before so many closed doors God gives the key,

And for me you’ve been the one that God has chosen to show me,

The door that he has opened before me,

And I just want to say,

I’m thankful he moved through you.

 

Behind every good work there is a faith in God’s will.

Before creation the Lord chose us in Him,

To begin a work of grace and truth in this generation,

Leading the lost from sin to salvation,

And I just want to say,

“I’m thankful he leads through you.”

 

There’s just no way that I could repay,

And words are only words.

The melody that now sounds so sweet,

Would quickly sour in a different key.
