To Whom it May Concern:

A friend emailed me news of a casting call near my town. The dates below would work well with my current schedule.
For a variety of reasons I wish to make myself a candidate for any role in this upcoming MTV series.

My name is Rob Patterson.  I am 47 years old. I am a pastor, substitute high school teacher, police chaplain, and father of four teenagers. Their tastes are diverse, but as Dad, I've gone to several concerts in recent years: Moneen, Dashboard Confessional, Brand New, MXPXTaking Back Sunday (thrice), Senses Fails (thrice), Saves the Day, New Found Glory, The Used, Papa Roach, My Chemical Romance and numerous other bands at last summer's WARPED TOUR in San Francisco. Under Oath, The Early November,
Bad Religion, Yellow-something … all day at the Warped Tour; I didn’t do well sitting in the Parents’ DayCare.

Although I don't currently subscribe to MTV, I'm aware of two recent MTV film projects: watched Napoleon Dynamite several times, recently saw Coach Carter in the theatre. As a conscientious parent (and community leader), I was impressed with both.

I'm somewhat of an enigmatic character in the small town of Galt; I've had much 'acting' experience throughout my entire life.

I maintain a personal webBlog so photos and other information can be seen by clicking here:   www.fbcgalt.org/rob'sblog.htm

I have been a musician since my teens; Some of my musical mentors were:

60's Pop:  Beatles, Moody Blues, Doors, Motown, Hendrix;

70's Rock/Jazz Fusion: Mahavishnu Orchestra, Larry Coryell, Chick Corea, Billy Cobham, Jean-Luc Ponty, Frank Zappa;

70's pop/rock: Lennon, McCartney, Harrison, King Crimson, Emerson, Lake and Palmer, Edgar and Johnny Winter,
                            YES, Bowie, Todd Rundgren, Kansas, Jethro Tull, Alice Cooper;

80's (MTV generation): quit listening and started writing music;

90's same: acquiring music from centuries past and other contemporary cultures;

y2k and beyond: started listening to my kids' music (some of it is listed above).

Audio Downloads and commitment to 'the project' can be heard/seen at:

Sense of humor and zest for off-beat rhythm of life can be experienced at:  www.fbcgalt.org/CHS%20Follies.htm

All money earned in this effort would be designated to provide meals, clothes & health care orphans in Liberiawww.fbcgalt.org/greaterlovechildren.htm

My 'yes' is 'Yes'; and my 'no' would be 'no.'

If offered a role and I say, "Yes," you will be happy with your decision to cast me in a part.

I will deliver the performance you're envisioning.

Sincerely,

Rob Patterson

p.s. I'm a networker; I know others who could probably do a great job in these parts.
