Who was singing songs the people really liked.
As I stood listening to him, I felt that empty feeling again.
Had I died to the life I knew was wrong?
Why then try to still finish that old song?
Some people don’t have voices.
Some can’t hear me cry.
Some have too many choices; Choosing death for life.
When I find myself in self-indulgent competition with the world,
I need to get down on my knees.
Separate me from my pride…
Hear the Holy Spirit inside me telling me I have not yet died to self;
Showing me I should help somebody else.
