TimeTravel   to  Coldwater, Michigan, 1883.

Below is a lithograph of my childhood neighborhood drawn nearly 75 years before I was born. The large rectangle with the red dot is the site where the Washington School of my childhood would be built. Across the street (upon the blue circle) would be built a small house at 107 Hull Street. When I was a child we called it the Brown House.

Our mother died a few weeks before I would enter Kindergarten. A family tradition was broken (wherein Mother walks the child across the street for that long-awaited first day of school). My little brother, Mike, also missed out.

When I was in the first grade, we moved around the corner and northward to 142 Morse Street. The teal-colored spot marks the site where 142 would be built. All three structures currently stand and are occupied as of 2005.
